The Georgian government and the authorities of the Adjara Autonomous Republic will buy a building for the Batumi Mosque and the mufti administration of Western Georgia. Additional space will be provided at Orta Jam, the problem of open-air prayers at the Batumi Mosque will be solved after a reorganization of the said space, Georgia Online reports. Damage caused by the authorities during communist times will be compensated.

Georgia simplifies visa regime for Armenia

Georgia will change the visa regime that restricts visits of Armenians to the country to 90 days, Epress.am reports.Georgian Prime Minister Ovik Abramyan said during his visit to Georgia on December 11 that Georgian MPs of Armenian origin wanted to raise the problem. The PM discussed the visa issue with Georgian authorities and informed them about the concerns of Georgian Armenians.A high-ranking member of the Georgian government has recently contacted Georgian MP Samvel Petrosyan and promised to change the visa regime soon.
